- "To provide a little added interest I have taken the liberty of printing some of the prospectuses on paper other than white. Three items are printed on a faint blue mouldmade paper which came from Hodgkinson in England in 1970. The pink paper is 122 years old and comes from a scrapbook which I got from the late Jack Green when he retired from Hayle Mill in Maidstone. One edge of this sheet is watermarked 'J. GREEN & SON 1862'' and the other edge is blank ... I noticed one sheet watermarked 3-up HARVEYS & HUDSONS ... The thinnish cream-colored laid sheet used for no. 12 was made by Whatman in 1920 and was bourght but never used, by the American artist Troy Kinney ... There is also a watermarked paper I made in 1981, and the remanands of the Nagashizuki paper I made in 1979. The other sheets used are either French or German mouldmade papers. The paper used for the sides of the book has been reproduced from a piece of 18th century 'Dutch Gilt' decorated paper ..."--Note from the printer.
