Redouté and Bessa), here in black and white, are those found in color in the Paris 1810-1813 ed. of Michaux's Histoire des arbres forestiers de l'Amérique septentrionale, with the exception of no. 5 and 14, which are the same (except for captions) as no. 6 and 16 of the 28 plates of oaks in the English-language eds. (The North-American sylva) published 1817-1819.
