Summary:
This volume represents the culmination of more than a decade of research and development of a family-based management approach to the treatment of schizophrenia. The major conclusion drawn from this work was that family life was often detrimental to the person with schizophrenia; however, in examining these studies from a more systemic perspective, it could be concluded that family support was a major contributor to the good outcome of this disorder.
