Journal of the Provincial congress, May 22, 1775-July 10, 1776. Peter Van Brugh Livingston, president, succeeded by Nathaniel Woodhull, and by Abraham Yates. On July 10, 1776 (at a session begun at White Plains July 9) it was Resolved and ordered, that the style or title of this House be changed rom that of "the Provincial congress of the colony of New-York" to that of "the Convention of representatives of the state of New-York". cf. vol. I, p. 519.
