Summary:

This dataset is designed to show you how to analyse online surveys that collect both qualitative and quantitative data. This dataset addresses the steps necessary to design, conduct, and analyse a survey and provides illustrative data and analysis. The data are provided by Dr Lori Kirkpatrick (Western University) and Dr Michelle Searle (Queen's University) and draw from a project conducted by the researchers, in collaboration with a school board, during the 2020–2021 school year. The purpose of the research was to examine secondary school students' perspectives on mental health supports and challenges, the impact of COVID-19 on youth mental health, and the efficacy of the mental health and well-being supports available in the school board. The dataset files are accompanied by a teaching guide and a student guide.
