Summary:
This dataset offers basic descriptive statistics for the analysis of ordinal expert ratings, as applied in education research. Full use of primary anonymized data from a purposive panel of 52 Egyptian education experts (2020) will enable learners to use SPSS for data preparation (variable labeling, value coding, missing value handling), after which medians, interquartile ranges, frequency distributions, and graphical data will all be computed to describe the expert consensus and variation generated on STEM teacher competencies. The guide describes the rationale for preferring medians and IQRs with ordinal scales, how to compare distributions across demographic stratification, and how transparent and inclusive reporting practices support equitable interpretation by policy and professional development stakeholders. Ultimately, apprentices will be able to summarize central tendency or dispersion, isolate the presence of outlier data, and report their findings. The dataset file is accompanied by a teaching guide, a student guide, and a how-to guide.
