Summary:
This case study considers the design, methods, successes, and challenges of a qualitative research study conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic. Six focus group discussions with teens explored barriers and facilitators to recruiting teens for research through social media. The focus group findings and the lessons learned from conducting virtual qualitative research with budget constraints during the pandemic provide practical implications for researchers to incorporate into online research efforts.
