- Summary:
- This case study will discuss a new iterative approach in codebook development for the analysis of online content (YouTube videos) together with students during the COVID pandemic. We will share and discuss what we learned to co-develop a content-analysis codebook using online tools such as Microsoft teams and Padlet. Using these tools, we aimed to gain a mutual understanding of codes and definitions of the codes that were later applied by various coders in the student team. This approach can be helpful for students as well as researchers when collaborating online to discuss and evaluate codes and the definitions of these codes to support intercoder reliability.
