Summary:

This dataset presents an Adaptive Trauma-Centered Research Framework (ATCRF) to explore the psychological and ethical implications of trauma-focused learning, highlighting adaptive models for managing stress among higher education students. Descriptive statistical techniques facilitate students’ understanding of a trauma-conscious approach while learning ethical data analysis methods. The descriptive statistics describe and summarize the sample dataset. They calculate the dataset’s average (mean), middle (median), frequency (mode), spread (range), and deviation (variance). They also assist in understanding the dataset’s patterns and structures, emphasizing its variability (Loether & McTavish, 1980; Osuala, 2005). This in-depth study will employ a component of respondent data from the undergraduate students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, to guide students in understanding the relationships between demographics, stress levels, and trauma-centered learning experiences using the descriptive techniques, Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10), and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-25) (Cohen et al., 1983; Connor & Davidson, 2003). The study will also teach students how to manually calculate the mean, median, mode, and range with pen and paper in order to summarize and show the spread in variables such as gender, trauma exposure, faculty, coping strategy, anxiety/distress index, and adaptability level. It will also equip them with data visualization skills, enabling them to create summary bar charts. The bar charts are used to visualize categorical variables. The dataset file is accompanied by a teaching guide, student guide, and how-to guide.
