This book is a critical essay on research methods in education. The author leads us to reflect on the different methodological discourses as well as on the conduct of research and offers us a complete tool of analysis and planning. The first part of the book is devoted to epistemological considerations; it discusses the various concepts on the status of the sciences of education and related discourses. The second part reviews the major research methodologies used in education circles; it is followed, in the third part, by a technical description of the tools used for data collection, construction, organization and formatting. The fourth and last part of the book details the stages of inductive research and proposes ways to interpret the results and validate the hypotheses. Built to lay the groundwork for a multi-disciplinary research approach , Research Methods for Education aims to go beyond our own knowledge and provides an open approach to issues, as well as insight into research objects and analysis data.
