Love by sympathy : a circumstantial account of the innocent Miss Anne Mandeville : young & beautiful, of handsome fortune : e'er her heart had yet experienced the tumults and passions of love, she attracted the attention of the elegant gentlemen, many try for the honour of making her his conquest, but she received with coldness their addresses : 'It's hard to guard against the rock of love' : she became in love with a young gentleman she never saw to such a degree, that, fearing he might get engaged to another, she became ill, and pined almost to death : the gentleman was equally in love with her, altho' they never saw each other : the circumstances that bring them to an interview, and abundance of engaging particulars attended them that give satisfaction to the reader.
