Description of an improved portable sliding rule : with proper examples of its use, not only to the officers of the revenue but artificers also, in measuring timber, joiners, painters work, &c. and in gauging all solids and superficies, with greater accuracy than by the common rules : to which is prefixed, a short treatise of decimals, necessary for the better understanding the divisions of the lines on the rule, to which purpose also numeration on the lines is treated of, in a more ample manner than hitherto done : collected from the several writers on this subject, and offered to the publick.
