Sir, notwithstanding the frequent notices that have been given in the public papers of the necessity I am under to enforce the payment of the quit-rents due to His Majesty : I have hitherto found very little regard paid thereto, but knowing such general kind of advertisements are often too much neglected, I am induced to address you thus personally to request you will cause immediate payment to be made of such quit-rents as may be due from you or from the estates under your direction, in order to prevent any disagreeable measures that the peremptory orders I have received from the Lords of the Treasury will oblige me to pursue in cases of further delay : I have the honor to be sir, your most obedient humble servant.
