Exposition of an hydraulical machine, intended to be called the meridional time-keeper, and to be concentrically suspended in a ship's hold, shewing time at the meridian by which it was set, during the last 30 minutes of a daily reckoning, that is to say, from the commencement thereof, to the final instant which, in terminating that period, completes the 24 hours : submitted with the utmost respect and deference to the consideration and inspection of the Commissioners of Longitude, by their most obedient and devoted servant, Mauritius Adolphus Newton de Starck, of Bramerton in the county of Norfolk, a lieutenant in his Majesty's Navy.
