Seaman's guide to the longitude, or, A key to the nautical almanac and astronomical ephemeris : published by order of the commissioners of longitude, and enforced by the lords of the admiralty, for keeping a ship's reckoning of longitude, at sea, by observation, from the meridian of Greenwich Observatory : putting the said nautical ephemeris in practice, at sea, by short rules and familiar examples : without the difficulties, expence, and help of teachers : with which learners, by other longitude-rules, for performing the same, have been greatly embarassed : inscribed to the gentlemen of the Royal Navy : for which service, and that of the honourable East-India Company, the work is chiefly intended : to which are added, remarks on the said nautical ephemeris, and observations on the lunar and other methods of longitude, in theory and practice : addressed to the connoisseurs of longitude : being a connexion and fit to be bound with the nautical ephemeris, and palladium for 1770.
