Whitehall, March the 6th, 1710/11 : My Lord, the Lords Commissioners of Trade and Plantations, being among other things, impowered and required by Her Majesty's Commission under the Great Seal, to examine into, and take an account of the state and condition of the several trades of this kingdom into all forreign parts, and from time to time to make representations thereon to Her Majesty, to the end that by her royal interpoling with forreign princes and states, in favour of her subjects, and by other proper methods to be taken within Her Majesty's dominions, the said several trades may be promoted and advanced.
