Summary:
The book Sitiados was reconstructed by the episode of the Ibiúna Congress, in 1968, when nearly eight hundred students were surrounded and imprisoned during the Brazilian military dictatorship, combining journalistic narrative, historical chronicle and elements of suspense. Based on DOPS documents, interviews and period materials, the work reveals the behind-the-scenes of the encounter, including the clandestine organization and the internal conflicts of the student left, tracing the tone of an event little explored in the official history. In the current context of disputes over historical memory, the book highlights the importance of remembering and revisiting the past, showing that resistance is also manifested in the preservation of these stories, presented in an enveloping and accessible way.
