- Summary:
- "Refractive flat-top laser beam shapers and flat-top laser line generators are used in several applications. Both sequential raytracing and non-sequential raytracing can be used to design these optical devices. The optical community appears not to have a commonly accepted best design method. This Spotlight describes in detail the process of using Zemax Opticstudio® sequential raytracing to design twenty divergent, collimated, and focused flat-top laser beam shapers. Some designs use custom-made lenses, and other designs only use off-the-shelf spherical lenses, which can be particularly interesting to optical engineers. All designs are aimed at real product development. The complete prescriptions of these designs are provided for readers' convenience."-- Provided by publisher.
