Simulation Technologies for Optoelectronics, Volume 1: Light Waves starts with the propagation of light in free space and covers simulations of reflection and refraction, the behavior of Gaussian beams, optical multilayer films, planar optical waveguides, optical fibers, and more. Most of these discussions start with Maxwell's equations. The book focuses on the analysis methods of the analytical and numerical simulation and visualization of analysis results, which is very helpful for easily understanding optical phenomena.
