- "זנק מאור (מושקוביץ) היה בן 16 בבוא קלגסי היטלר לעיר מולדתו ולוצלבק. נער רגיל היה ככל הנערים, שבגרו במאורעות המלחמה, ואולם הוא חונן בתושיה יתירה להיחלץ מכל המצרים שאליהם נקלע וגם להושיט יד עזרה לאחרים. את אשר ראו עיניו וקלטו אזניו הוא רושם ביומנו מדי יום ביומו, נדודיו ותלאותיו. בהיטלטלו ממחנה למחנה היה נושא אותו אתו חבוי בצרור חפציו ושומר עליו כעל בבת עינו. אחרי השחרור שיחזר את רשימות יומנו והעלה את פרשת עלילותיו בספר זה, הוצאה ראשונה 'מורשת' וספרית הפועלים - תשל"ד"--Back cover.
