Place of Publication:
[George Munro & Co.?]
Notes:
Latham C. Carleton is a pseudonym for Edward S. Ellis.
Copyright 1864 by George Munro & Co.
Series attributions from Johannsen and Rogers. The first five numbers of Munro's ten cent novels were published with the imprint of Irwin P. Beadle & Co. as Irwin P. Beadle's ten cent novels. When Beadle left the firm, Munro changed the name to George Munro & Co. and renamed the series Munro's ten cent novels. The lack of publisher's name on the title page, combined with Munro replacing Beadle in the copyright statement suggest that this is a reissue of no. 1 published by George Munro & Co.
Reproduction of the original from the American Antiquarian Society.
