Kimball Brooker with his bookplate laid in. Text signed at end: "Lic[encia]do don p[edr]o velarde Por M[anda]do de su S[eñori]a Ex[celentísi]ma[?] Joanes de larrumbide". On leaf A10v fair round applied wafer seal of validation (paper, 105 x 98 mm, presumably over red shellac). Size: 74 x 74 mm. Design: coat of arms (of Pedro Velarde y Villa?). Legend (start point at top of seal): [...]LLE HOSTIS [...]VS VICTVS EST AB EO. A few manuscript marks in pencil on leaf A2r; early manuscript underlines and marginal note on leaf A9r. Bookseller's description of this copy by H.P. Kraus laid in. Binding: full early limp parchment; 2 fore-edge ties (1 intact); early manuscript spine title; housed in clamshell case. Wormhole in tail inner margin of leaves.
