- Summary:
- "Bilingual in English and German Francis Offman's exhibition Weaving Stories presents a selection of new assemblages, that the artist calls 'abstract paintings'. His technically and formally elaborated works are infused with the artist's life and the history of (neo-)colonialism. The exhibition is accompanied by a publication featuring an essay by curator Bettina Spörr and a conversation between Francis Offman and art historian and curator Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev. Different white papers with slightly varying textures reflect Offman's interest in surface structures. Each painting in the book is complemented by a recipe-like list of the materials used."-- provided by distributor.
