Summary:
This volume compiles investigations and reports a rebellion allegedly being planned in certain parts of Jamaica. Several reports in the volume claim that this planned insurrection was incited by rumours that Jamaica was to be annexed by or transferred to the United States of America, with the intention of reintroducing slavery to the island. Another set of reports in the volume detail a riot that took place in the parish of St Mary's, over taxation.
