Original letters stapled to pages; From Charles Moncrief, Fort McClellan, Alabama to parents in New York, New York (October 1943 - January 1944); later Moncrief moves to Fort George Meade, Maryland (February 1944); later sends V-mails from North Africa while member of the 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division (March 1944); then to Italy (May - August 1944). Also includes letters from parents of Moncreif (typed, probably copies of the originals) from February - September 1944.
