Description: This series (2 folders) consists of personal correspondence either to or from Walter Haller. The bulk of the series consists of letters Haller wrote to his wife, Betty, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Locations include: The United States Maritime Service Training Station, Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, New York; aboard the SS George Durant in Australia, England, and France; and aboard the SS Sea Robin.;Personal correspondence, military documents, photographs, and souvenirs from the service of Steward’s Mate Second Class Walter Haller, who was a Merchant Marine and served in the Mediterranean, European, and Pacific Theater of Operations.
