Description: This series (1 sleeve) consists of letters and V-mails from William Bennett to his family in Los Altos and San Francisco, California. The letters were sent from North Africa, Italy, and Southern France. In the letters, Bennett writes about contracting jaundice, Nazi propaganda leaflets airdropped on his base near Anzio a typhus outbreak in Naples, foraging for food, and French civilians.;Personal correspondence from the service of Sergeant William Bennett who was assigned to the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division in the Pacific, Mediterranean, and European Theater of Operations.
