Description: This series consists of 55 pieces of personal correspondence from Pharmacist Mate Second Class Morris Rogosa, to his parents, Samuel and Fannie Rogosa, Lynn, Massachusetts. The correspondence begins when Rogosa was at the United States Naval Training Station (USNTS), Newport, Rhode Island. Some of his time spent at USNTS was spent in the Naval hospital. In January 1943, Rogosa was transferred to the dispensary at the United States Torpedo Station, Newport, Rhode Island, and remained there until October 1943. There is a large gap in the correspondence, but it begins again in March 1945. At this point in time, Rogosa was in Sicily, Italy, but not assigned to a specific ship.;Personal correspondence from the four sons of Samuel and Fannie Rogosa, three of whom were in the Armed Forces. The collection is arranged into five series: I. Personal correspondence from George Rogosa, October 1941-March 1945; II. Personal correspondence from Israel Rogosa, October 1941-April 1945; III.
