Description: This series (10 folders) consists of letters from Robert "Bob" Smith, multiple locations, to his wife, Mrs, Almeda Smith, Bradley Beach, New Jersey. During the year-and-a-half span of the correspodence, Smith was located at Fort Dix, New Jersey; Camp Croft, South Carolina; Fort George Meade, Maryland; Camp Wings, France; Camp Philip Morris, France; Le Havre, France; and Bristol, England. Smith also rose in rank from Private to Private First Class.
