Summary:
Description: Green cover with "U.S.S. Fayette" handwritten on cover. Account of important dates in the service of Aubrey J. Bethel while aboard the troop transport USS Fayette (APA-43). Fayette served at Kwajalein, in the Mariana Islands, and in Leyte. Handwritten entries begin 30 December 1943 beginning with him reporting aboard the ship at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; invasion of Kwajalein; invasion of Guam; ending with "Crossed equator for 12th time" on 30 December 1944. Book also contains a few lists of names and notes on the .45 caliber M3 machine gun or "Grease gun".
