- T/Sgt Thomas Barham served in the United States Marines from 1943-1946. He was a combat photographer and was attached to the 1st Marine Division. He used a 4 x 5 Speed Graphic camera and developed his pictures in a photo lab aboard LST-759. He was with the 1st Marine Division when they landed on Okinawa and was with them throughout the entire campaign. His pictures appeared in various magazines and newspapers during the war. After the war he went to work for the Associated Press and covered all of the Presidents up to the George Bush administration.
