- Rudolph Hisky enlisted in the United States Army Air Forces in 1942. After completing his training he was assigned to Air Transport Command and sent to Chauba, India with the 10th Air Force. While in Chauba he fell ill and was sent to Karachi, India for medical treatment. After the war, Hisky returned to the United States and was discharged from the service with the rank of private first class (PFC).
