Description: Red, green and cream colored plaid covers. Photo Album from the service of S/Sgt Carmine P. Pugliese from his service with the XIX Tactical Air Command, 9th Air Force, in the ETO. Helen Pepe recognized her father on several pictures and attached "Sign Here" sticker next to them. Photographs include European landscapes, many images of Pugliese, Photos are predominantly from the Nuremberg Air Base taken during April and May 1945 with German airplanes such as FW 190, Ju 87, Bf 109, and He 111, including photos of the Zeppelin Field/Zeppelinefeld the old Nazi Party Rally Grounds and ruins of Nuremberg; bridge with "Mercedes-Benz" sign near destroyed buildings; Several pictures of M1934 Pyramidal Tents, Tent City with M1937 Field Range gas stove, field bakery on 2.5 truck and K Ration boxes and groups of servicemen with chef hats; three P-51's taxing on an airfield; German Aircraft Gun probably at the Nuremberg Air Base, photo of Quad MG34s Anti-Aircraft mount with German gas mask front of it; destruction of German towns. Helen Pepe wrote a note under a picture of S/Sgt Pugliese who is sitting on a Jeep "This picture is of my dad and his youngest brother Paul (Pugliese) - they met while both were stationed in Germany (probably in 1945)." Concentration camp corpses. Many photographs are repeated throughout the scrapbook.
