John Monroe administering to Arab Nomads in the region of Furna. The commonest problem that they had was diseases of the eye brought on by exposure to harsh wind and blowing sand. The commonest infection was Trachoma similar to a type of yeast infection, and one of the commonest forms of Blindness. All I had was a Sulfa-Cream which I used to pack the eye and had good results. Now Sulfa is the drug of choice for treating Trachoma.".
