Rolston gives a detailed description of fighting on the front, how he was injured by German shrapnel, and his subsequent surgery in an Evacuation Hospital in France. Rolston finished his convalescence at the 111th General Hospital in Sutton-Coldfield, England. Rolston is especially afraid that he will be sent back up to the front as a rifleman again; describes numerous symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder.
