Summary:
Description: General and special orders from the service of Major Thomas M. Phillips. A hand-written sheet with the documents indicates that the majority of his active service period covered by these documents was from 7 June 1943 - 26 September 1945. Phillips served in the 28th Bombardment Squadron (M) before the war, in the Philippines. He then trained in the United States, primarily at the New Castle Army Air Base in Wilmington, Delaware with the Ferrying Division of the ATC. His wartime service occurred in India where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross in December 1944 as part of the Air Transport Command in the CBI Theater.
