Description: This series consists of German propaganda, newspaper clippings, personal documents, and photographs belonging to Private Harry Rinnier. The photographs include: Rinnier with his prewar football team; a jeep being moved across a river using a log and pulley system; unidentified soldiers and Rinnier on unknown base in January 1944; portraits of Rinnier; Rinnier with wife and infant son, Florence and Harry; and Rinnier's childhood.;Personal correspondence, military documents, and photographs from the service of Private Harry Rinnier, who was killed in action during the Battle of the Bulge while serving with the 359th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division. The collection is arranged into five series: I. Personal correspondence from Pvt. Harry Rinnier, November 1943-December 1944; II. Personal correspondence from Florence Rinnier, December 1944; III. Personal correspondence from Jimmy Sanchez and Arthur Myers, April 1945-July 1945; IV. Documents concerning the service and death of Pvt. Harry Rinnier, 1943-1946; and V. Graphic materials and photographs, Circa 1920-Circa 1944.
