- Description: This series (1 folder) consists of personal correspondence from Hugh Donaldson to his wife, Frances, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The letters and V-mails were sent when Donaldson was in Luxembourg, Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Austria. Subject matters include returning to the front lines, his time in Luxembourg, commanding the 2nd Battalion, 328th Infantry Regiment, fighting in Germany, the German people, the attitude of his men, refugees in Austria, and Russian soldiers.
