Description: Bound journal stenciled with the initials "Stover WA" on the cover. Signed in the back and the front "Wm. [William] A. Stover PhM 2/c." As a Pharmacist's Mate, 2nd Class, Stover kept a log of treatments and other miscellaneous items related to his service, such as: treatment for acne; prickly heat (heat rash); clipping from Navy "Information Bulletin" about enlisted ratings; handwritten copy of the poem "Casey at the Bat"; chronologies and brief descriptions of service aboard USS LST 585 and USS LSM 273; newspaper clippings of Australian troops disembarking from an American LST and a small map of Borneo; list of war bonds Stover purchased from 1941-1945; muster rolls of USS LST 585 and USS LSM 279.
