Description: This series consists of seven miscellaneous documents regarding the service of Seaman Second Class Frank Borrell. Documents include stamps from the Universal Stamp and Coin Company, a V-mail from Borrell to his wife and daughter, two empty envelopes, and two pieces of military correspondence regarding Borrell’s discharge from the United States Navy.;Souvenirs, military correspondence, photographs, and legacy documents from the service of Seaman Second Class Francis Anthony Borrell, who served aboard the USS Missouri (BB-63) in the Pacific Theater of Operations. The collection is arranged into four series: I. Documents from the USS Missouri (BB-63), 1944-1945; II. Documents regarding the surrender of Japan aboard the USS Missouri (BB-63), 1945; III. Miscellaneous, 1944-1946; and IV. Life after service, 1995-2010.
