Documents include: A letter from a Jewish chaplain to Brenner’s mother; promotion documents, rosters, and discharge papers from Randolph Field, San Antonio, Texas, and Moore Field, Mission, Texas; assignment orders to B-24J Liberator crew; movement orders to ship out; citation of Air Medal; materials on the December death of David Whitlock, Brenner’s pilot during mid-1944; orders of leave in London for Army lectures; individual issue record; certificate of proficiency in flying a B-17 Flying Fortress; citation for Oak Leaf Cluster; mission report listing all missions from 12 June 1944 to 21 January 1945; telegraph from Brenner to parents; orders for the award of the Distinguished Flying Cross; identification cards; assignment recommendations for post combat service; certificate for a ferrying division in Mississippi; Airman certificate for commercial pilot issued by the Civil Aeronautics Administration; separation qualification records; and an instrument pilot certificate card.;Military correspondence, documents, and newspaper clippings from the service of First Lieutenant Marvin Brenner, who served as a pilot with the 862nd Bombardment Squadron, 493rd Bombardment Group.
