Description: This series (3 folders) consists of souvenirs collected by Captain Jacqueline Merot. The bulk of the souvenirs were obtained during Merot’s service, but there are some she acquired postwar that relate to her service in Italy. Documents in the series include: Club identification cards; receipts; satirical, fake military documents; menus; dance invitations; place cards; currency; Signal Corps Bulletin newsletters; newspaper clippings; newspapers; a poster; and a map.;Military correspondence, souvenirs, and booklets from the service of Captain Jacqueline Merot, who served in the 2629th WAC Battalion in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations. The collection is arranged into three series: I. Military and government correspondence, 1944-1951; II. Souvenirs, 1943-1952; and Booklets, 1943-Circa 1945.
