Description: This series (1 folder) consists of military and government correspondence regarding the service of Captain Jacqueline Merot. Documents include: A memorandum of events for departure of Supreme Allied Commander of the Mediterranean Theater; Order of the Day from Joseph McNarney upon his departure; an informal routing slip concerning Merot’s trip to Paris, France; orders and citations for the award of Emblem for Meritorious Civilian Service; an IRS statement concerning military service; materials for ex-service women and the Louisiana chapter of the WAC Reserve and its benefits; and a letter and documentation on Merot’s request for a salary increase to a Mr. Paul F. Jahncke citing her military wages.;Military correspondence, souvenirs, and booklets from the service of Captain Jacqueline Merot, who served in the 2629th WAC Battalion in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations.
