Description: This series (3 folders) consists of Grady Leach's official personnel file and other military documentation. The documentation includes the service record and discharge papers from Leach's service in World War I and the National Guard; several Army extension and continuing studies certificates of completion, primarily for course studied during the inter-war years; orders, separation and discharge papers from service during World War II; correspondence regarding medals earned; and certificate of recognition from President Johnson. Other interesting items include a copy of a letter to Leach's son's fourth grade class describing England and a copy of a letter to the men previously serving under Leach before his promotion. The personnel file is largely dated from 1942-1945 and the loose papers range in date from 1919-1955.;Personal and military correspondence from the service of Major Grady Leach, who served in the 1518th Quartermaster Truck Battalion in the European Theater of Operations.
