- Description: This series (3 folders) consists of Grady Leach's official personnel file and other military documentation. The documentation includes the service record and discharge papers from Leach's service in World War I and the National Guard; several Army extension and continuing studies certificates of completion, primarily for course studied during the inter-war years; orders, separation and discharge papers from service during World War II; correspondence regarding medals earned; and certificate of recognition from President Johnson. Other interesting items include a copy of a letter to Leach's son's fourth grade class describing England and a copy of a letter to the men previously serving under Leach before his promotion. The personnel file is largely dated from 1942-1945 and the loose papers range in date from 1919-1955.;Personal and military correspondence from the service of Major Grady Leach, who served in the 1518th Quartermaster Truck Battalion in the European Theater of Operations. The collection is arranged into three series: I. Personal Correspondence from Grady Leach to Cynthia leach, 09 June 1918-26 June 1918; II.
