Description: This series consists of letters, a telegram, and a postcard from William West to his family in DeRidder, Louisiana. In 1943, West trained at San Antonio Aviation Cadet Center, San Antonio, Texas; Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas; along with Lowery Field and Buckley Field in Colorado. The bulk of the series consists of letters West wrote to his parents, but there are a few to his sister, June, and brother, Glen.
