Description: This series (2 folders) consists of letters from the Veterans Administration, Navy and War Department, and City of New York to Irene Ness. The letters from the Veterans Administration focus on claims for death pension, life Insurance settlement, the discontinuing of payment for death compensation after remarriage in March 1945, and documents concerning reinstatement of widow’s pension after end of second marriage. The letters from the City of New York consists of paystubs regarding spousal compensation. The letters have been divided by sender within the series and then chronologically.
