Description: This series consists of letters and George Paddock, to his parents, George and Elsie Paddock, in Evanston, Illinois. At the beginning of 1945, Paddock is still at the Headquarters of the Air Route Traffic Control Center at Fort Bliss, Texas. He is then shipped off to the European Theater of Operations in March. He spends a short amount of time in England before arriving at the Headquarters European Theater of Operations, United States Army in Paris, France in early April. While there, he was assigned to the position of Assistant Adjutant General. In his letter written on 10 May, Paddock describes the Victory in Europe celebrations that took place on the 8th.
