- Description: This series consist of letters from George Paddock, to his parents, George and Elsie Paddock, in Evanston, Illinois. The bulk of the letters were written during Paddock’s World War II service; however, there is a letter from 7 Jul 1948 when he was assigned to the Headquarters of the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Ord, California. Also included are three letters that are missing the first pages and a sketch, presumably of Fort Bliss, Texas.;Personal correspondence from the service of Captain George Paddock, who worked in the Adjutant General's Department at the Headquarters European Theater of Operations, United States Army in Paris, France. The collection is arranged into five series: I. Personal correspondence, 1942; II. Personal correspondence, 1943; III. Personal correspondence, 1944; IV. Personal correspondence, 1945; and V. Personal correspondence, 1948 and Undated.
