Summary:

Description: This series (2 folders) consist of letters from Charles Adams, a member of the United States Army Air Forces, to Constance Logsdon. At the beginning of the correspondence, Adams is an Aviation Cadet at Kelly Field in San Antonio Texas. He is then assigned to the Officer’s Training School at Ellington Field, Houston, Texas, only to return to Kelly Field a couple months later. By the end of 1942, Adams is with the 47th Basic Flying Training Squadron at Randolph Field, Texas. In August 1943, Adams had risen to the rank of Lieutenant and was assigned to the China Burma India Theater of Operations. Also included in the series are newspaper clippings with no known letter association as well as three letters Logsdon wrote to Adams.
