- Description: From Captain William Crowley (chaplain), Grohn, Germany, to Mrs. Lillian Milone, Brooklyn, New York. Replying to the request she sent for further information on her son's death; informs her that Father O'Grady did not write back to her because he was killed on 29 November 1944; Private Alexander Milone received a gunshot wound on 18 September 1944, he was then rushed to an evacuation hospital where he succumbed died on 19 September 1944. Pvt. Milone was buried with full rites from the Catholic Church in the United States Military Cemetery at St. James, France. Assures her Father O'Grady prepared Pvt. Milone to the best of his ability.
